Domain Registration & Renewals

Non-Refundable Domains

Domain registrations are non-refundable for years already registered. Once we register your domain with the registry, that money is spent and we cannot get it back. Please make sure you actually want the domain before we register it.

Renewal Timing

Domains renew 2 weeks before they expire. This gives us a buffer in case anything goes wrong with the renewal process. We do not wait until the last minute because that is how domains accidentally expire.

Renewal Period

Domains are renewed every year for 1 year only. We do not do multi-year renewals unless specifically requested and paid for in advance. This keeps things simple and gives you flexibility.

Confirmation Required

LinkElement will confirm renewal with clients before processing. Failure to confirm renewal may result in ending the account. We are not paying for domains that clients do not want. We will reach out via your preferred contact method, but if we cannot get confirmation after repeated contact, the domain may not be renewed.

Our Promise to You

LinkElement will work with clients to provide the easiest domain management and hosting possible. This is our goal. We want to make this painless for you.

That said, we cannot break the laws of physics to make this happen. We cannot:

• Transfer a domain instantly (registry limitations)
• Recover a domain that expired 3 months ago (registry rules)
• Make DNS changes propagate faster than the internet allows
• Guarantee 100% uptime (no one can, but we aim for 99.9%)

We will do everything humanly possible to help you. We just want to be clear about the limitations that are out of our hands.

Payment Terms

• All fees are due before services are rendered
• We accept Stripe, PayPal, Venmo, and other reasonable payment methods
• Late payments may result in service suspension
• No refunds on domain registrations (see above)
• Hosting fees may be prorated on a case by case basis, just contact us

Support & Communication

We pride ourselves on being reachable. You can text, call, or email us. We typically respond within minutes during business hours (Eastern Time US), and within a few hours outside of business hours.

We are a small operation, so please be patient if we are helping another client. We will get to you as soon as humanly possible.

Acceptable Use

Do not use our services for anything illegal, spammy, or harmful. If you do, we will terminate your account immediately with no refund. This includes but is not limited to:

• Spam or unsolicited email
• Malware distribution
• Phishing attempts
• Any illegal activity

You agree that LinkElement has the final say on what is 'acceptable use'.

Things Layers need us to say

Services Provided "As Is"

LinkElement Hosting, and CLI Systems LLC, provide all services on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• Our services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure
• Any defects will be corrected within a specific timeframe
• Our services will meet your specific requirements beyond what is described in our plans

Your Content, Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for all content you publish, store, or transmit through our services, including but not limited to website content, images, files, email messages, and any data uploaded to your hosting account. LinkElement Hosting does not monitor, review, or endorse client content.

You represent and warrant that

• You own or have the legal right to use all content on your account
• Your content does not infringe on the intellectual property rights of any third party
• Your content does not violate any applicable local, state, federal, or international law
• Your content is not defamatory, obscene, fraudulent, or otherwise harmful

LinkElement Hosting and CLI Systems LLC shall not be held liable for any claims, damages, or legal action arising from content you publish or actions you take using our services. If we receive a valid legal complaint regarding your content (such as a DMCA takedown notice or court order), we will notify you and comply with applicable law.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LinkElement Hosting and CLI Systems LLC, its owner,employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of our services or your content.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time, please check pack periodically. The current version will always be available on this page.
